Natural Nigerian said to me one day, “We need to have a meet-up in Lagos,” and a month later, here we are: we’ve got a date, booked a gorgeous venue, and got 3 other speakers for the very first natural hair meet-up we’ve ever planned. We’re excited! Here’s what we hope to achieve:
- Come together to support each other on our hair journey (as well as those considering one)
- Share our experiences and learn from each other about caring for and styling our hair better
- Talk about the connection between proper nutrition and beautiful hair
- Discuss natural hair in the workplace (because corporate Nigeria can be frustrating if you’re natural)
- Have an opportunity to buy some hard-to-find products
- Meet fellow bloggers, commenters, and naturals
- Have an all-round good time!
Presentations will be made by:
- Natural Nigerian, NatMane, and me (hair bloggers)
- Sherese Ijewere (nutrition consultant)
- Ifeoma Williams (image consultant)

Just about anyone. Do forward the flyer to your friends and family. By no means is this restricted to just naturals, so bring a friend or three!
So if you’re in Lagos on the 19th, we hope you can make it! It’s going to be a fun day at the beautiful Life House. (You can even get your shopping on afterwards at Zebra Living. I know I’ve been eyeing some really cute ankara dresses for ages :-) Hope to see you there!
